What you will learn A two-part course for Beginners/Intermediate printmakers that will enable you to create beautiful, sculptural collagraph prints that use texture and colour. Collagraph is a wonderful way of creating very textured prints with soft, rich colours and this course will introduce you to its strengths and possibilities. You will learn how to design and build up a collagraph plate using a range of materials. Experimentation and playing with materials is encouraged. The second session will teach you how to print your collagraph plate. You will learn how print your plate using the beautiful Rochat press. You will learn about different inking techniques, as well as making a 'blind' print. No previous experience is needed for this course. Beginners are welcome, along with those who need a refresher. Course programme Introduction to collagraphs and analysis of design. Transfer to card and build up using a range of materials. Sealing the plate and preparation for the second session.
