What you will learn A tactile and immediate method of making vibrant, layered prints using simple materials. You will learn the basics of how to create gelli prints using a wide range of exciting materials and then print in multiple layers, using the translucency/opacity of different paints to create really stunning/subtle/complex visual effects using acrylic paints. Experience level No previous experience is needed for this course. Beginners are welcome, as well as those who already have a gelli plate and want to learn a variety of techniques. Course programme Gelli printing basics: rolling, masking, ghost prints. Next steps, transfer and layering, colour blends and textures. What is included All basic materials such as paper, tools and equipment are provided. Other materials and printmaking papers will be available to buy during the course if you would like to try something a bit different. You are welcome to purchase your gelli plate if you wish to continue printing at home. Preparing for the course Suggested materials for Gelli printing (I will supply a range): lace and doilies, buttons (with interesting raised patterns), netting, fabric (knits, too), flowers (flat-ish), leaves, grasses, plastic bags cut into simple or complex shapes, bubble wrap, corrugated cardboard, clingfilm, scrunched up paper/plastic, thread, string, wool, anything with raised or moulded lettering (but needs to be the right way round – think about it!), packaging – plastic food trays often have interesting geometric patterns on them, textured wallpaper. https://www.pinterest.co.uk/lindenstudio/gelli/ *Lunch*: you will need to bring a packed lunch.

Cancellation Policy
Cancellations and refunds If you cancel your booking more than three weeks before the course start date, you will be eligible for a refund, minus a 5% administration fee. I regret I cannot offer refunds for cancellations made less than three weeks before the course start date. At this point I will have already started making preparations including ordering materials, and it is less likely I will be able to fill your place. I cannot give refunds for failed attendance due to sickness or external circumstances. Transfers If you would like to transfer to another course, you can do this free of charge providing you let me know three weeks before the course start date. Bookings cannot be transferred with less than three week’s notice but if you are unable to attend on the day, bookings can be transferred to another person. In this case, please let me know as soon as you can so I can update the booking. Cancellation by Linden Print Studio Linden Print Studio reserves the right to cancel or postpone courses. If this happens I will try to give you at least a week’s notice and full refunds will be given.
