What you will learn Learn how to upcycle carton packaging to make beautiful prints with a range of tones and marks. Experience level No previous experience is needed for this course. Beginners are welcome. Course programme Design and transfer to packaging. How to create marks and tones, preparing the plate, inking and printing on the Rochat press. *Lunch* - you will need to bring your own packed lunch or Cranstons and Waitrose at Dobbies are just down the road if you want to do takeaway. Tea, coffee and biscuits are provided during the day. What is included All basic materials such as paper, tools and equipment are provided. Other materials and printmaking papers will be available to buy during the course if you would like to try something a bit different or take some materials home to try. Preparing for the course You are welcome to bring your own cartons but I will supply standard soya milk/juice cartons. Dimensions are variable so your drawing should be based on what kind of packaging you intend to use. Buildings and urban landscapes work well, as well as abstract designs that take advantage of the creases and possible ways you can cut up the packaging. Cancellation Policy

Cancellations and refunds If you cancel your booking more than three weeks before the course start date, you will be eligible for a refund, minus a 5% administration fee. I regret I cannot offer refunds for cancellations made less than three weeks before the course start date. At this point I will have already started making preparations including ordering materials, and it is less likely I will be able to fill your place. I cannot give refunds for failed attendance due to sickness or external circumstances. Transfers If you would like to transfer to another course, you can do this free of charge providing you let me know three weeks before the course start date. Bookings cannot be transferred with less than three week’s notice but if you are unable to attend on the day, bookings can be transferred to another person. In this case, please let me know as soon as you can so I can update the booking. Cancellation by Linden Print Studio Linden Print Studio reserves the right to cancel or postpone courses. If this happens I will try to give you at least a week’s notice and full refunds will be given.
