What you will learn A two-part course taking you from planning, design, cutting, registration through to final printing of a two-colour reduction linocut. It would be helpful if you have attended a full or half-day Linocut course or have some experience of Linocut to make the most of this course. Course programme Planning, design, block preparation and cutting. Accurate registration and printing first colour. Preparation for second colour. Second colour cutting and printing. Colour blends and editioning your prints. What’s included All basic materials such as paper, tools and equipment are provided. Other materials and printmaking papers will be available to buy during the course if you would like to try something a bit different or take some materials home to try. Preparing for your course You will be working on a piece of roughly A6 lino (100 x 152 mm but it does not need to be rectangular. Prepare a design that has two colours + white*. Think about the balance of colours, translucency and the relationship with the colour of the paper. *White paper will be provided but you are welcome to bring your own coloured paper if you have a particular end result in mind. Cancellation Policy

Cancellations and refunds If you cancel your booking more than three weeks before the course start date, you will be eligible for a refund, minus a 5% administration fee. I regret I cannot offer refunds for cancellations made less than three weeks before the course start date. At this point I will have already started making preparations including ordering materials, and it is less likely I will be able to fill your place. I cannot give refunds for failed attendance due to sickness or external circumstances. Transfers If you would like to transfer to another course, you can do this free of charge providing you let me know three weeks before the course start date. Bookings cannot be transferred with less than three week’s notice but if you are unable to attend on the day, bookings can be transferred to another person. In this case, please let me know as soon as you can so I can update the booking. Cancellation by Linden Print Studio Linden Print Studio reserves the right to cancel or postpone courses. If this happens I will try to give you at least a week’s notice and full refunds will be given.
