Let the spring sunshine in - re-opening plans

Updated: Mar 1, 2022

Hi All

Long time, no see! I didn’t think there was much point in making contact with you until I had some definite plans in place. This is what I’m thinking:

17 May re-open for Open Access and 1:1 tuition

21 June re-open for bespoke courses –I hate the word ‘bespoke’ but what I mean is that if you contact me with a plan, then we can work something out.

6 September - re-open for scheduled courses

Changes since lockdown:

New Hunter Penrose stereotype proofing press for relief

New cartridge paper: ‘Flat White’ 100% 170gsm recycled paper (including coffee cups) + standard 170gsm cartridge

Portable presses for hire + kit + online support/tuition

Changes pending:

New daylight LED panels to be installed in classroom and pressroom

I’ll keep this short and sweet, and I’ll be in contact again early May with more detailed information but please do get in touch if you have any questions, thoughts, news or suggestions. It would be great to hear from you.

best wishes,

Vega

ps. A few people have contacted me for advice about buying presses, materials etc. I am here to help and happy to talk printy geek stuff. From my point of view, the more artist printmakers and people providing printmaking facilities and teaching others, the better! Let’s raise each other up! Let a hundred print studios blossom. I’m still thinking on a ‘crit group’ for printmakers. Let me know your thoughts.
