Update March-April 2020

Updated: Mar 1, 2022

Hello All

You may have noticed that I didn't send out a Jan-Feb update. There's a good reason for this - I've bought some woodland near my house and I've been spending a lot of the past three months covered in mud, digging ditches, making hedgehog houses, bird boxes and weaving holly (bird)hides with my son and husband. So apologies for the intermission, I hope you understand.

I'm still keeping a light touch with Facebook and Instagram but things are still ticking along beautifully, and beautiful prints are still being made in the studio.

I've had to make some changes to the course programme as I'm teaching Monoprint at Higham Hall again this June. I've attached the new one (v2) so please double-check you're looking at the right version before you book.

There's not really much news, except that the Studio continues to get better and better by increments. I really enjoy the connections that people make and it continues to be a place for artists to meet and share ideas and knowledge.

Just a heads-up for the start of May. If you didn't already know, Printfest is taking place on Saturday and Sunday 2nd and 3rd May. There's some great local artists exhibiting such as Jamie Barnes, Dorothy Ramsay, Penny Hunt, Debby Akam, Mark Pearce, Alan Stones and Katie Edwards. As usual I'll be driving down on Sunday and have three spaces in my car if anyone wants a lift down.

As for my own work, I've been very busy working in my school as well as running the print studio and doing stuff in the wood, so this year I've decided to just play and not put any pressure on myself. 2021 may be the year for showing you all what I've been up to. Regardless, it's always good to have visitors so if you're up my way, do call in. I'll put the kettle on.

May your March be filled with daffodils and springy lambs,

best wishes

Vega

ps. The beautiful collagraph print was done on one of my two-session collagraph courses. Have fun guessing what was used to make the image! Thank you, S, for letting me use this image.
