After 5 long months, the Print Studio is ready to open its doors again on 1 September 2020. The studio has taken a massive financial hit as I have been unable to run any courses or projects since the start of lockdown. I sincerely appreciate all the people who have stayed in touch and want to continue supporting the studio. Thank you for bearing with me and I look forward to seeing you again.
I've taken the difficult decision not to run any courses this term, but re-open for open access and custom courses.
I am limiting open access to one person per session. More room to spread out and find your creative flow! Rates will stay the same at £12 for a 3-hour session, Wednesday to Friday. Evening open access sessions (without technical help) are also an option for more experienced printmakers at £7 per 3 hour session from Tuesday to Friday. These rates are an absolute bargain but I want to see the print studio being used again and keep things ticking over.
I will also run one-to-one tuition for one person or more from the same household, while maintaining social distancing and the use of face coverings. If possible, some instruction may take place outside. Rates and timings are dependent on availability and the materials/time/level of tuition. I cannot provide a flat rate as normal as I'd usually spread the cost across a year's courses. Please contact me for more information.
All tools and working surfaces will be cleaned between sessions, as will shared facilities such as toilets. Risk assessments and cleaning plans are available.
Based on the current situation with Covid 19, I hope to be running courses again from January, but will base my decision on government guidelines and rates of infection at the time.
My main priority is keeping all users of the studio safe (including me), while supporting people to develop their printmaking. Please contact me if you have any questions.
